Samurai Warriors 5 Finally Introduced, Comes With Cel-Shaded Visual

The developer Tecmo-Koei gave a surprise, after last month they released Nioh-2. Tecmo-Koei will now return to take us to the magnificent Sengoku era through the Samurai Warriors 5 series.

Planned for release in the summer of this year, the spin-off series from Dynasty Warriors seems to be kicking off with a newer atmosphere. This can be seen from the trailer which shows the new appearance of 2 of their iconic characters namely "The Devil" Nobunaga Oda, and Mitsuhide Akechi who now look different than the previous series, besides that the visuals displayed feel more "cartoon-ish" (normal called Cel Shading), in contrast to the previous series where the visuals are not much different from Dynasty Warriors.

Judging from the trailer, it seems that the story will focus after the end of the Onin war (Fall of the shogun Ashikaga, and the start of Nobunaga's rise). Therefore, it is certain that characters like Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Oichi, and characters from the previous series will return.

There are no other details regarding the Musou-themed game (1vs1000), but Tecmo-Koei will provide a special Livestream to show more details on February 25th.

In addition to ensuring that it will be released this summer, Tecmo-Koei also ensures that the new Samurai Warriors 5 series is also ready for many platforms such as PC, PS4, Xbox ONE, Switch, and Xbox series X / S.
