The first update of Phantasy Star Online 2 in 2021 brings a class luster

Finally, comes the class we've been waiting for.

Today, SEGA is launching a massive update for the global server of their action MMORPG game, Phantasy Star Online 2. This update brings new Story Quest content up to Chapter 6, increases the maximum level to 100, and brings other content. And, most importantly: this update brings the Luster class, which Gunblade lovers have long been waiting for.

 

To play Luster, players must have at least 2 other classes that have reached Level 75. The unique ability of Luster is Evasion Shot, which is a maneuver where players can shoot and dodge at the same time.

By using Gunblade, Luster becomes a flexible class capable of fighting at close or long distances. Players can use Luster Gunblade Focus to activate Enhanced Attack, Shot, and Arts.

uster has three combat styles: Zandi, Fomel, and Baran Style.

• Zandi Style - A combat style that uses Wind or Lightning element weapons. Zandi Style excels in speed, agility, and strong AoE attacks.
• Fomel Style - A combat style that uses weapons with Fire or Dark elements. Fomel Style is the most powerful combat style in close combat.
• Baran Style - A combat style that uses weapons with Ice or Light elements. Baran Style has a focus on defense and ranged attacks.

Luster also has four Skill Classes that are noteworthy, namely:

• Luster Voltage - Voltage Gauge will appear on the Sub-Palette, and attacking the enemy will generate Volt, which will increase Potency, and reduce the damage received. Voltage Gauge will decrease automatically when the player stops attacking for a long time. There are other Skill Classes that increase Volt collection.
• Luster Counter - Players will be able to attack with a Sidestep Strike when they successfully dodge using Action Weapon or Sidestep.
• Luster Sidestep Guard - When in lock mode, if the player sidesteps forward or backward with the right timing for the enemy's attack, the player will activate Perfect Guard and attack back towards the input.
• Attack Bonus - By issuing four normal attacks in a row, players can issue powerful attacks that match the player's PP or Focus Gauge.
