Based on information revealed by one of the journalists from GamesBeat, Jeff Grubb, Battelfield 6 will be announced in May 2021. He revealed this information in the GamesBeat Decides podcast.

Grubb said that the development process was still running smoothly. The reason for not having any new information until now is because EA intends to announce it in May, before E3 which is usually held in June.

It was also said that DICE was again trusted as the main developer in this project. Criterion Games is also confirmed to be involved, thus causing the further development of Need for Speed ​​to be delayed.

Battlefield 6 itself is rumored to be set in the modern era, be released in a cross-gen manner, and present a dynamic destruction feature that makes surrounding buildings destroyed when hit by an explosion.
