Soon you can play solo in Apex Legends by turning on the following options

When Apex Legends was first created, Respawn Entertainment admitted that the game was designed for team-play and did not have solo matchmaking. They did provide a solo-play event for experimentation, but it was never implemented as a permanent mode. Interestingly? This immediately changed at the Chaos Theory event.

Respawn will add a fill matchmaking option when the player is matchmaking. If this option is not checked, then they will play alone without a squad like the main Apex Legends mode.

This option will also give players the ability to play alone or in duos by ticking the no-fill with a party option. Of course you will fight players with squads composed of three players.

The fill matchmaking option can only be enjoyed in standard and not ranked mode. In each match, there will be a maximum of six players with no-fill, aka solo or duo, who are members of it.

Respawn still thinks that Apex Legends is a game with teamplay, but they provide this option for solo players to provide creative options to play the game at will.
