Hideki Kamiya Apologizes To Microsoft For Cancellation Of Scalebound

He admits they are still immature.

Remember Scalebound? The action RPG game made by PlatinumGames is planned to be released exclusively for Xbox One. But suddenly he was canceled by Microsoft because the quality did not meet their expectations.

Talking to Cutscenes, Hideki Kamiya, founder of PlatinumGames, explained that Scalebound is a big Microsoft-funded project. Knowing their partner is Microsoft, Kamiya wants 'full power' to develop the game to meet the expectations of the Xbox owner.

Kamiya as Game Director then focused on photorealistic visual displays with all his ambitions until later he realized that they had no experience developing games using the Unreal Engine and how to develop online-based games.

PlatinumGames generally develops their video games with their own engine. Yes, including Granblue Fantasy: Relink assisted by Cygames to Square-Enix's Babylon's Fall.

Due to their immaturity and lack of experience using the Unreal Engine, there was a tough decision to cancel Scalebound.

Kamiya then apologized to the players and apologized profusely to Microsoft for trusting PlatinumGames.

Scalebound is an action RPG game that puts the player in place to play Drew in a fantasy world with his dragon, Thuban. The game focuses on visuals, action, and co-op with online features rather than role-playing itself.

Previously, Phil Spencer and Microsoft made it clear that they did not feel that PlatinumGames was at fault for the cancellation of Scalebound. He simply explained that the game was something they failed to try. They said all these things to PlatinumGames without keeping it a secret.
